PDP accuses APC of sponsoring anti-Amnesty protest

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of sponsoring the anti-Amnesty International protest in Abuja.
The PDP made the accusation in series of tweets on Thursday, March 23 on its official Twitter handle.
According to the opposition party, the APC is allegedly responsible for the scandal which rocked the protest recently when it emerged that the protesters were paid to carry out a blockade of Amnesty office in Abuja for days.

The party, which posted pictures of the sharing of money to anti-amnesty protesters, however, did not give details of how it arrived at the conclusion that APC was behind it.
The party also accused the APC of sponsoring the protests because it wants Amnesty International out of Nigeria in order to 'entrench dictatorship'.
The PDP handle that made the accusations is managed by the Ahmed Makarfi-led National Caretaker Committee faction. The Sheriff faction has said nothing about the accusations so far.
