The Federal Commissioner, Hajia Sadiya Umar Farouq, in a statement, said it is unfortunate that Cameroon has continued forceful return of Nigerian refugees even after signing the Tripartite agreement with Nigeria and the UN which seeks to ensure the safety, proper handling as well as voluntary return of Nigerian refugees who are in that country following the Boko Haram crises.
She stated that, the parties agreed to provide people wishing to return with clear information on the situation prevailing in their areas of return in order to make a well informed and voluntary decision.

Man U prepare shocking £173million move with £416,000-a-week contract offer for Neymar

Manchester United have sent shock waves round the Nou Camp as they are set to execute a  £173million move with £416,000-a-week contract offer for Brazil/Barcelona star Neymar Jr.

According to various reports in Spanish and Brazilian media outlets, Britain's richest and most successful club is set to trigger Neymar's release clause (£173million) this summer, with club manager, Jose Mourinho in search of an elite signing that will take the club to new heights as the futures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney remain uncertain.

Neymar is appreciated in Barcelona but knows he won't ever be seen in the same light as Lionel Messi, but knows at Man U he will be an automatic leader and at the age of 25 will surely be given god-like status at the club.
Neymar also knows that the £416,000-a-week salary can't be rivaled by Barcelona or even other English clubs like Man City and Chelsea, but has informed his agent he won't move to a club that won't be playing champions league football.

Neymar also knows he is very unlikely to win the Ballon D'or while playing in the same team as Lionel Messi and sees England as a good destination, that could also positively affect his marketing potential.

Mourinho’s men face an uphill task of making the top four in the Premier League — but could earn participation in the UEFA champions league next season by triumphing in the Europa League

Do you self-medicate? Read on!!!

Ever found yourself feeling a little sick or having subtle symptoms like a headache and the first thing you do is to visit that nearby “chemist” to buy cheap medicines you hope would give you relief? Well, you’re guilty of self-medicating and you just might be making things worse.
Self-medication is a worrisome habit amongst ordinary people that needs urgent attention. Many people do not consult a qualified pharmacist or a doctor when they start feeling sick. They ask a friend, a relative or a neighbour or even worse they go online to medical chatrooms or “google” their condition. More and more medicines are available from drugstores, off the street or online, without a doctor’s prescription and this trend has now become accepted in our busy lifestyle.

Common health issues like headache or body pain can be treated quickly with a painkiller but in some cases they may mask more serious illnesses. The earlier an illness is correctly diagnosticated, the better the chance of recovery: this self-medicating habit has caused people to adopt a reactive approach of waiting for their mild headache to deteriorate before going to the doctors.

What is Self-Medication?

Self-medication refers to practice of using drugs or other medications to self-administer treatment for ailments physical or psychological without consulting a medical doctor. It also includes adopting unorthodox means of self-enhancement without the consultation of licensed medical personnel. The medications in question are often called ‘non-prescription’ or ‘over-the-counter’ (OTC) and are usually available without a doctor’s prescription through pharmacies and drugstores.

Why do people Self-Medicate?

There are many reasons that lead people to self-medicate such as financial constraint, fear associated with a medical diagnosis, lack of time, religious belief etc... There are many habits such as taking painkillers to ease stress, cannabis or codeine/cough suppressant to help with depression, drugs to sedate or stimulate, multivitamins to help boost the immune system or drugs for weight gain or loss. People have always sought out easy solutions to their medical needs.

In developed countries, drug administration must conform to strict medical standards but the case is different in many African countries, where ethical standards are not fully respected. Some medical experts are of the view that illiteracy and poverty especially in the rural areas are increasing the rate of self medication in Nigeria. This is worsened by the behaviour of undisciplined pharmacists, doctors and regulatory agencies charged with the responsibility of giving health-care and sound medical advice to patients.

The dangers of Self-Medication

● Drug addiction: Continued use of drugs without prescription leaves you vulnerable to addictions. For example, if taking ibuprofen relieves you from headaches or migraines, there's every chance that you will continue to take it every time, whether sick or not, because you're enjoying the sedative effects that taking it gives you.

● Drug on drug interaction: Taking one drug and then taking another, probably for the same reason, that you want immediate relief can sometimes leave you with no relief at all. This is because different drugs interact in various ways and can in some cases negate each other, leaving you as sick as before, or compound each other leaving you with high toxicity levels.

● Overdose: A drug overdose can easily result from ignorance or assumptions of the required dosage of a particular drug. Some medication take a while to give effect, especially if past their sell by date, and you might be tempted to up the dosage because you're not getting the desired effect as indicated. A drug overdose can be very harmful to your health and may even result in death in the absence of medical intervention.

● Drug sensitivity: Another reason why you should avoid self-medication is sensitivity to certain drugs. People have different tolerance levels to certain medications, so a drug that works well for one person might not work well for the other. Drug sensitivity may result in allergic reactions and adverse side effects where you lack knowledge of your medical history. It is also important to be aware that drug sensitivity changes over time because your body immune system reacts in different ways to both the drug and the ailment. The immune system could get stronger or weaker relative to the illness or could stop responding to a particular drug. It is also worth pointing out that common virus or parasite strains evolve over time.
How to avoid self-medication

Self-medicating can cause serious problems, so it is important to set up an appointment with a doctor when symptoms occur. A medical doctor is trained to accurately diagnose the ailment and provide appropriate medication to treat a condition. Allow a doctor to determine the cause and a treatment plan that is appropriate for you or a loved one. A doctor may order additional testing to provide a final diagnosis. If deemed necessary, a medical professional will prescribe medication along with clear dosage instructions to prevent an overdose or limit the risk of dependency.
So, if you or a loved one are experiencing pain, discomfort or are feeling ill for an extended period of time, then it is time to visit a trained medical doctor.

How I finally landed my dream job after 8 years… A story by Oby Okeke

One fateful Saturday evening, I was sitting with friends and listening to them chat away about how annoying it really was to be a Nigerian right now.
‘Nigerians don’t have chill again, everyone is just venting off on the next person because our problems are just too much’, Sade ranted. ‘
But it’s really annoying, one minute I’m trying to ignore the government and the pains they put us through, yet ordinary Nigerian sun won’t let somebody be great. I’m kuku tired, I need to leave this country’.
This cracked everyone up except me. I was unmoved. I didn’t find it funny. I was lost in thoughts. I was sad.
‘I’ve been unemployed for over 8 years and it wasn’t like I wasn’t qualified, but suddenly every employer wants to hire a 30 year old with like 30 years’ experience. How exactly does that even work, I guess I should have gotten employed right from my mama’s womb,’ I muttered under my breath and then let out a very long hiss.
They all turned to me and exclaimed, “Ah! Babe are you that frustrated?’
‘Yes I am frustrated. I am tired of job hunting. Maybe I should just start a business or just get married and be a full time housewife’, I said.
Nene, guessing my frustration was due to my job issues, started telling me about this new company recruiting writers.
‘Babe don’t worry, I’m sure this one won’t ask you for 30 years work experience when you are 30. And guess what, they even pay big, way bigger than your expectations’, she said.
I was confused. Should I still try this one out? I was tired of adjusting my CV for every single interview. I was tired of studying the A-Z of companies just for interviews. I was tired of roaming the streets of Lagos. I was pretty certain the streets already knew my footprints.

Well, finally I decided to go for it. I turned in my application and got called for an interview, which turned out to be another drama of its own.
‘Actually we love your write ups. You are a really good writer. We know you have spent quite a short time in your field but we could hire you’, one of my interviewers said.
‘Okay But…?’, I asked as I had always expected negative responses. I just wanted them to get on with so I could get going.
They explained that in addition to my ability to write, I would be required to design their website.
‘kuku kill me. Can’t these people say they can’t hire me, which one is design website again, haba’ I muttered to myself.
As a sharp babe , I told them I could do that too but deep down, I knew absolutely nothing about websites…LOL! A week later,

click here to see how I did it, you won’t believe it.

Saraki denies EFCC’s claim that he used his aides to launder N3.5 billion Paris Club Loan Refund

The EFCC has reportedly indicted the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and some of his aides in the alleged laundering of up to N3.5 billion from the Paris Club Loan Refund.

According to Channels TV, a source at the antigraft agency says investigation by some of its officials have revealed that some persons with close links to Saraki were used to launder N3.5 billion from the paris club refund.

The EFCC investigation was presented to President Buhari in a reported delieverd on March 10th, 5 days before the senate rejected acting EFCC chairman, Ibrahim Magu. However in a swift reaction, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Saraki, Yusuph Olaniyonu, in a statement released yesterday, denied the cliams.

Olaniyonu stated that Magu is using the new allegations to fight against Sarakiand the senate for rejecting hisnomination on March 15th.

“It is obvious that at this point when Mr. Magu believes the Senate President should be blamed for his failure to secure confirmation as Chairman of EFCC by the Senate, he would want to fight back by cooking up reports and masterminding its leakage”.
