Gernot Rohr reveals number of China-based players that will be invited to Eagles

- This comes after many Nigerian international are now going to the Chinese Super League
- Rohr said only two or three Nigerian players will be selected in China
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has explained that Nigerian players plying their trade in Europe are going to be considered for selection into the national team ahead of their colleagues that have joined the Chinese Super League.
Former Ocean Boys striker Brown Ideye is now the latest Nigerian international who has moved to China joining Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel and Odion Ighalo.
Seven Nigerian players are currently playing in the Chinese Super League, and Rohr has warned that only two or three of them will get a call up to the Super Eagles.
“The Chinese League is not as backward as many thought, but has moved forward from what it used to be. However, Europe is still where I feel is best for players as the level is very high.
“We have to consider the players in competitive leagues before looking at the players in less competitive leagues, maybe three players from China would be idea for our squad,'' Rohr explained.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles are billed to take on the Teranga Lions of Senegal and the Stallions of Burkina Faso in friedly games which will be played in England in March 2017, and Rohr has stated that he will field a strong team against these two opponents.
